Game like chess: multi-variant and need strategy. Please enjoy! :)
Map #77. That is why Spore Tower with 7 spores. Not dangerous! :)
But be careful with very strong runners in right/up side of map. ;)
Good luck! :)
How deep do you intend to take the nested sevens?
Another map from yum :) And it should be played like chess. What can i say.. as if his previous maps where not a chess puzzle :)

Glad to get that comment! You are welcome! :)
Awesome map, I took my sweet time to enjoy playing it. You see, I don't play to win, I play to enjoy the game and the challenges, and you made my day. Thank you.

Thank You for so kind comment! :-[ :)
I also like this map and played several time to enjoy and one time for best score. ;)
I am not evil, but right/up runners very evil... How it was? Difficult?
The top-right runners were a non-issue for me.
Spoiler
When I got a few freeze/AC AoC units, I used them to easily take the top-right area. Once I had that, terped the power zones to make room for berthas and it was smooth sailing from there.

Yes. You are right! This is one of the build-in trick/option of map! But not only one! ;)

Thank You again! After Your good comment I started to create new map. :)
But how big difference in opinion! Just now came evil hater and rated this map "1"!
And he stopped my intention to create something interesting... :( :(
As has been said before: Ignore the ratings. Particularly, don't stop building an interesting idea purely because one person disliked a previous map. Difficulty causes chronic low ratings.
Definitely don't let one (or even a few) 1 ratings discourage you. Your maps are excellent!!!

You are right. But to create a game mapmaker (at least I) need good feeling/mood. :) And "unfair play" kill it.
P.S. To haters: "If you don't want to read the book, then don't buy (download) it. But it is not necessary to burn it!" :)
Nice map Yum, came in 4 seconds behind you, forgot to collect the strafer!
(I doubt that anyone who would burn the unread book would bother to look at the reviews (forum).)
That is a really good map.

C 8) 8) L!
It seems that this CHESS-map one of the best and most popular among my maps. :)
Please, write here if You want one more map with similar concept.
Waiting for feedback. :)

Almost?
I am waiting for demand for CHESS-2 from other players...
Consider this a "demand". :) Seriously though, I enjoy all of your maps and am always in favor of more of them!
I agree, CHESS or otherwise, your maps are great and I will play them all.
Thank You! :)
Map CHESS-2 or GOD-02 (Game On Demand) created and uploaded! :)
Hope You will enjoy!
Crashed through this map in a few hours (ugh!).
Had a few setbacks with good comebacks, got my all my three starting positions on solid defense, which made it possible to go for the offense slow and steady.
After the first few tricky turns, I had so many power points I just did not bother using them, at that point it was just a matter of focus fire and kill. I did enjoy that first part more, slowly gaining foot hold against the tide. Did get the forge rather late and went from containing to swamping the remaining emitter in a few clicks.
I suppose you could work harder to get some of the key techs early.

After long time I played this CHESS GAME again. And it was nice game for me. Not hard map, but many variants for turns...
You are right "techs" better to get earlier. And I found that just putting collector near "tech" and flying by CN very easy to get it! ;)
I've found something strange - this map was in my "not played" list. That's fixed, but it amuses me (given the whole ratings saga that I do not wish to see again) to find it as the highest-rated map that I hadn't played. I'd like to see another sequel at some point.
I did forget the AoOs entirely, and take a relaxed pace. The opportunities for early tech-grabs were nice, as was the buildup. It's unusual to have so much Aether, and enough Ore to run a PZ Bomber. And the variety was good, though I steamrolled most of the top-left two-thirds with a lot of PZ Berthas. The Runners kept even that foolproof victory from getting too dull.
Thanks, yum.
