Sometimes when you destroy an emitter, it does not go quietly into that good night... Take your time, build some defenses, there are a few nasty surprises.

What special was supposed to be beneficial?

I found the one that produced piles of creep to be obnoxious enough I ringed it with cannons and went on to kill the inhibitor.

I found the one that produced piles of creep to be obnoxious enough I ringed it with cannons and went on to kill the inhibitor.

The AC emitters at the starting point.  Once you get to the island with all the ore spots, you have no more need of the AC emitters.  The top and bottom one fire Artifacts of Odin (convert) at the main inhibitor, the middle AC emitter rains AC on the map.
