Hey guys
Maybe I am too dumb to figure this out... but is it possible to create ship groups? Or easily select same units?
Also, is there a way to see unit stats (weapons and cost) before I build them? I mean - I start a custom map and it has custom ships and I have to build each one to see what it does. I must be doing something wrong :/

edit: Another thing - how do I deselect a unit from a bunch of selected units?

not yet! put you can get stuff prepped when you have the game paused!  :D

Next update! It's currently being tested. V hasn't given an exact date though. Keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks for your reply! Glad to hear those features are coming.
I must admit though, this is kind of disappointing... PF does not seem to have the kind of polish that CW games had.
I mean, all the features I asked about were already implemented in CW3, so I don't see what the problem is. The interface even *feels* similar to CW3.

GoodMorning

The main difference is that CW3 is "complete", whereas PF is still getting updates. The Steam beta version has been regularly expanded, but Virgil has mentioned that only major updates are intended to go into general release, to save effort for non-Steam users, who will not get automatic updates.
A narrative is a lightly-marked path to another reality.

Part of the issue is the matter of complexity. Think about CW3. You have 5 blasters and 5 mortars and you wanna grab them all and move them forward. They're all the same size, and a nice neat square at that. Now take PF, where you can have a large number of very different ships with very different shapes and sizes. And with the real kicker that they can all be faced one of about a hundred different directions. It is a LOT harder to set up a simple system for moving them in groups, and would take some devoted and difficult work to create again. And while quality of life improvements are always appreciated, it doesn't affect the gameplay itself too much, as you can still pause the game and set each unit's waypoint by hand.

I want to assign groups to hotkeys and select with those hotkeys, not move in formation.
As in: I want to be able to group ships that are fighting machines in 1 group, 2nd group would be support, 3rd lathe and 4th mothership.
Or whatever else I might need...
