My idea for a new unit.
It is constructed normally, is movable, and connects like nonspecially-connecting units. (If you don't get that, it means "connect only to collectors, relays or Odin City".)
Once it is fully constructed, you are supposed to move it into the creeper where it soaks up creeper instead of degrading as other units do (amount soaked shown by a blue bar above unit).
Once it is full up with creeper, it self destructs, destroying the contained creeper with it.
Thoughts?
please explain how that is possible...
isnt that like a drone?
Did you read the last part?
QuoteOnce it is full up with creeper, it self destructs, destroying the contained creeper with it.
Yes, it is not reusable. And unlike drones bombing at fixed intervals in scattered location, it constantly soaks up creeper only at its one point. Until it is full.

An Emitter set to 0 vill suck up Emitters ,
but it will not explode .
You build an mine with walls around it ,
close to the Emitter to get an effeckt close to your idea .
But thats in the map design, i mean a player constructed and controlled object.
And stop spelling badly. (by this I'm referring to the bits I've made red)

I suggest you don't try to correct the spelling of others, which is often done by native English speakers who don't even speak a second language at all. You can correct Spiffen when your Norwegian is as good as his English. ;) Please realize how hard it is to communicate in a language that you hardly speak but only learned at school.
I have had an bad day today i guess , so i deleted the posts i made .
It was just unneeded nagging , if you can understand what i try to say .
( Even my Norwegian spelling is bad , but i can start writhing in Norwegian if it helps =P )
So it would be better to ask what i mean if you dont understand me .
I tryed to say what could be done to get an effect like that ,
because suggestions often take an long time before they get implemented to the game ,
if they get in at all .
I'll make an map , so it might be easyier to see what i was trying to say .
Cheers =)
Now i have made an map to illustrate the Sponge idea from how the game is now .
So if your idea doesnt get implemented to the game ,
you might wanna try to do something like this .
You might even find an better way to make it work more like you want it to .
The map is'nt accepted yet , but you can get it here :
Interesting map - you should release it.
It's waiting for you to accept it =P
[OFF TOPIC]
I noticed it's in the queue, but both Karsten and I approved 2 of your maps during our last reviewing session (so a total of 4 within 24 hours). I'll have to wait for a while so everybody gets his/her maps in the spotlights for at least a day. I'm sure you'll understand....
[/OFF TOPIC]
I understand , so i have no problem waiting for it =)
But i know more maps will be accepted if there is'nt any other maps to be accepted ,
so it up to you gys to choose when to accept it .
So ssddgghh , did you try the map ?
Until an sponge get implemented to the game ,
maybe you can do something like that .
Didnt really want to use it anywhere, just thought the idea would be a good addition to the game.
The only thing is that the sponge will suck Creeper after the explosion.

How is this different than constructing a blaster or mortar, fully charging it, then flying it into creeper where it will discharge it's weapons and then explode? Seems very similar to me.
And of course the player would be able to determine where the creeper would be 'consumed'.
Fully charge a blaster, move it to Creeper and let them do.
If you move it back to base before it self-destructs you have a blaster left from he adventure. ;)
This seems kinda like a movable, player-constructed wall. Except better.
Not much to say here.

The difference is that it only soaks up right on the spot it is put, rather than at various spots around it.
I think the sponge is good if it costs 5-15 packets.

Too little, like that it would be too easy to use a bunch of them as temporary emitter caps.
A blaster cost 25 packets and 1 packet for 5 shots. I agree whith you if the sponge can destroy loads of Creeper.
i think instead of being effective in deep water like the drone this should work better in shallow water. And 100 posts this post
By manually editing the CWM file I have been able to create real sponges (in the form of super soaking friendly spores). Check it out here (http://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=5474).
