I can't explain exactly what I did, but here is a screenshot of a savefile at minute 2:21.

That's truly impressive. How'd you get rid of the creeper that escaped before you got the Dark beam firing? I see a ton of mirrors, so must be that you had a pretty intricate arrangement.

I didn't do anything against the creeper. Just a few shields against the drones. The beam was ready at the exact moment the creeper arrived. You have to concentrate on the red and white gem at the beginning, and the nano tech to reduce build cost.

Here you see the dark beam fully loaded and ready at 1:15 when the creeper arrives.

I give up, I get to where you are within a second (1:16). But that leaves only 2 minutes to dig and clear everything on that map. Maybe I've just forgotten how to pause efficiently, and how to build efficiently. SMH.

I'm going to keep an eye on this map and see how many other folks get this far into it.
