was I supposed to have to rock burn the middle section to get the mire up to 95% for the win condition?
Now that explains why I couldn't finish when cleared the Map! ;)

Yes
It is supposed to be a minor puzzle, and also a reminder of an ability that is not often used.
That was fun.... I should have checked what the goal was first .... I never saved :(
