Nice map!

It took about 30 minutes to figure out how to establish the home base, then another 10 minutes or so to get it just right.  Once the corner was secure it was just a matter of attrition.

 :) this was a good map. although...Im not sure I would consider it an expert only. once you gain control of the corner then it is fairly easy to advance. I did enjoy figuring out how to get a foothold. If anyone liked this map I made one just like it called ridge to ridge. for most it is a long haul. thanks! keep em coming.

Very hard and tricky start. You definitely have to progress very slowly at first. Nice map  ;D

I don't think I can add much to the comments above, Spector... you need

in order to properly stabilize your starting position. You only have the land available/you can defend to generate energy.
