a question about unit labels...

hey V, and anyone in the know!

in CW3 when a mapper puts a stack of units (say an emitter, a spore tower and a runner nest) on one spot the info label for the units is very hard to read as they are laid over each other.

would it be possible in CW4 for those labels to be listed rather than stacked?

it would make it much neater looking and more useful for the player too!

Have you imagined the visual issues surrounding stacking units in 3D? a spore tower on top of an emitter on top of a AirSac launcher?  Most likley stacking won't be allowed and you'll have to write a custom unit - in that case you can take care of the labels (I think CW4 will have tool-tips) yourself. :D

Edit: I just checked and you can't stack enemy units. The game precludes it. I do recognize the (perceived) necessity by some mapmakers to have combination enemy units and I recall mentioning it to knucracker.  In early builds one unit could be the source of multiple enemy types, so some fo that code may still be latent in the game and it may just need a updated UI to expose it again.

I'll make a note to mention it to him again when there is development activity in that ares.
