Testing how effective tor is at fighting off spores. good luck!
Without spoilering the map: I can well think that it was designed like that on purpose, but the way that I survived the initial spore waves, I don't think I've ever played a map that required to do "that". Your maps sure are original!
Edit: I've since found this map by Ebon Heart which might have been an inspiration... or at least, I played it mostly the same way ;)

This map has me in a pinch, but I am fascinated by it.
I just wonder whether the thing I am missing is some tactical/strategical concept, or some trick concerning game mechanics.
I tried everything concerning surviving until Thor is built - but I just fail. Is there any trick to build buildings faster, or 1 packet per 1 second is a harsh limit - thus Thor will take 160 seconds to build no matter what?
As cvtfwlbt notes, it is a very neatly designed puzzle.
Spoiler
Spores do not land randomly.
One of Dad's maps also makes good use of this mechanic, but in a slightly different way:

I know they don't. That way the map is... well, not easy, but simple and straightforward. I was obsessing with beating those waves the "conventional" way - but since I haven't been playing the game for several years I was simply blaming either me forgetting about something, or being just not efficient enough :)
Thank you for clearing all my doubts - I can now beat it and rest easy - or go to expert maps like Thor and the Slugs :D
