The correct term is "hunkered" and just putting up some digitalis isn't a meaningful defense.

Beat the map in the seven minute range only to get a pop up saying I needed to claim all items (words to that effect can't recall exact wording).

There was nothing left to claim.  I played about four more minutes trying to see if either of the power up's ran dry.  Nope, don't know what happened.
