I propose we add a "Puzzle" class to the map classification. Many (some?) authors create maps that have one very specific, easy solution. Any other method is time-consuming, hard, or impossible. So they add these maps in the "trivial" classification which does not adequately describe the map and it means there are maps in trivial that may be really hard for a novice, but like 30 seconds for someone that cracked the code, so to speak.

a sort of puzzle section would be nice because some people play puzzles and then think it is impossible and give it one star.  a separate section would designate it as a puzzle and people would be more likely to understand it is possible to do.  maybe if you could designate your map as a puzzle and then you could search for just puzzles along with author and what not.
grant me the serenity to accept the things i can not change, the courage to change the things i can, and the wisdom to know the difference

for once you've got a winner kar :P

This would be good idea, no more; "This map is impossible" in the comments for each map, yes this would help a lot, way to go Kamron
Not even death can stop the truly determined.

I told them, "I want to add to the world."
They said, "Then learn how to use the editor."
I asked, "What is the editor?"
They said, "Life."

people saying that maps are impossible will never stop as long as there are idiots and failures on the internet, for example just look at the training sim @ kongregate, almost on every page you can find someone who says the last level is impossible (it is not even as hard as some of the early story missions like draco).

CW would have wonderful applications in the puzzle genre.  I support this idea wholly.
BBC code and smileys may be used in your signature.

Well, "The Bowl" does force people to act fast. In all of the other training sim missions, I built up an immense amount of energy and overpowered the creeper. In the bowl, I tried and failed miserably with defending the lower plain before I realized I had to get something shooting before the river at the top of the bowl overflowed. The main problem, I think, is the same as with "Tucana", in that it forces you to engage quickly, when the new player had gotten used to taking their time to build up energy before fighting.

Back on topic: Yes, I'd like to know when I try to solve a puzzle instead of a normal level.
