Thank you for taking the time to create this.
I thought your first map was terrific.
I've seen maps that were interesting enough to play despite the inflated cost of building some items, and I have actually played one or two maps without a Forge, and I have played some maps with severely restricted numbers of items you need to play with a decent attack.
Unfortunately, this map has all three of those things going against it and I gave up pretty quickly.
I don't mind playing a good fun game for an hour to win, but I'm not going to slog through against heavy Creeper and Spores - especially with no chance of making any improvements.
Thanks,
H

This map managed to be interesting from start to finish. It is rathert slow and the terrain is a bit tricky in places. But after i got my start strategy right, it was a fun map to play.
Spoiler

My start was to get reactor limit increments from bottom and bottom left while nullifying top right spore tower. I actually had to parry a single spore wave from it. But it got nullified while that spores where still in flight. So it might be possibe to prioritize the nullifier more and build the first beam later.
I did not nullify the backyard emitter until i reached my beam limit and had my front fully fortified. Instead i had a single mortar keeping the creeper in check. A cannon at the top and also another at the bottom protected against creeper slowly creeping into the power supply line of my power zone beam or climbing up my command center hill. I did loose my single ore mine early on did not care about that for a long time.
For a long time i only had a single mortar defending the entire front. But i also started terping a wall spanning from the very top to the very bottom before creeper reached that power beam supply line from the front. The great wall followed the terrain and got upgraded in one-height increments. Whenever i needed energy for the spore towers, i temporarily stopped supplying the terp.

I probably should have gone after that backyard emitter much earlier to spare the energy for the two cannons and get back the ore mine earlier. But i never had enough energy for that until i got close to my reactor limit of 18.

I like that there are still attempts at restrictive non-forge gameplay and this one - even though it got a bit over the top with the build costs - is a good one. It certainly doesn't deserve the initial one-votes. I think, it is more an eight or even nine.

Nice start, but the cleanup is both too easy and infuriatingly frustrating due to the horrid terrain.
After you have your base setup (power, beams, and the E emitter and N spore eliminated),
the only opponent is the terrain.
