The Saando-class was commissoned with the standard Galcorp lathe"s shortcomings in mind. With two lathe modules and laser defences the redesigned lathe is capable of dismantling enemy structures faster as well as reducing damage taken. The redone armour scheme helps reduce damage and increase survivability, allowing a single lathe to take down a emiter with support.
