December 16th 1944, the front is quiet as the Ardennes forsest lays under a heavy fog. With air grounded because the over cast skies, the Germans launch a major offencive deep into the Allied lines. All is overrun except for the 82nd Airborn troops besieged in the town of Bastogne. Can you hold out? #WWII

I think you will find that it was the 101st Airborne in Bastogne. 82nd Airborne were on the outside of the bulge.

You're right about Bastogne/101st, but you sure wouldn't want to tell a survivor of the 82nd that they were  "outside of the bulge". Just as with the dozens of other units involved, the 82nd got thrown into the battle with no warning or preparation and fought magnificently.
I found this map a tremendous amount of fun to play and searched through all of Iron John's maps to find those similar.
As tough as this  one was to play, it is worth a second go when my eyes recover.
