Ok, I need a hint.  How do you get to the pod on the second level on the left hand side before the creeper does?  This  just about has me stumped.  Any suggestions?

I would suggest just digging for it right away, nothing to stop you from doing so until that top emitter breaks lose. And that's presuming you don't destroy it until then. :P
