awesome. i did notice the sound effects and music where louder on this video then normal. about a third of what was said got a bit jumbled. love those forbs.
Yeah, my obs settings got reset and my voice and the game audio recorded on the same track. So I couldn’t balance the sound and didn’t know till it was too late. I’ll get it all corrected by the next video.
How do youtubers get the game?
Hello Richard
The only people who are able to play CW4 at this time are the knucracker and a few of his associates.
The rest of us are waiting for the official release, as there is no Early Access or Beta for KnuckleCracker games.
The release date can be found on the game’s Steam page (sorry, couldn’t resist).
they don’t get CW4. not yet anyway. only 2 people have access.
How can I try this new version of the game?
is there any beta?
Hey, wanted to say great video, tip for the next video, turn the game sound down, I was struggling to hear you at times because of snipers firing or something like that, or just game music being too loud
Where’d the vines go on the editor?
Does the note that says “Not Beta” mean that the videos are from a version of the game that is pre-beta or post-beta?
I have played the CW series for years, and I realized in this episode, “Digitalis” is _not_ pronounced digi-tails. Which if you know how to read, should have been self-evident. But anyway, keep up the great work Virgil!
Editing an advanced map looks much more accessible now. pretty cool.
Just making my usual pre-game stop by to say it’s looking good V. This is looking like another great addition to the series. Maybe I’m getting a bit older, but I look forward to your game releases more than I do AAA games now a days. As always, keep up the good work. Happy Labor Day Weekend.
So I’m curious: as someone who is beyond inspired by your success in this series (literally just booted up CW3 for the Nth time) I want to know what you would recommend for an aspiring programmer? How should I begin? How did YOU begin?
The current state looks very promising already! It’s great fun to hop onto your blog after almost two years and read up on all the progress that’s been made! As always, very impressive. The editor looks like it got a lot of love, and seems very convenient to use; I hope this will result in a great many quality maps down the line!
It’s been quite the adventure reading and watching though all of it, and many of the new features are very promising (like the zones that multiply creeper if occupied by creeper/AT and such). The addition of more complex production lines is also very welcome, as it may scratch that factorio itch to some degree while playing CW 🙂
I’m imagining the game is going to have a similar scope than CW3 when it comes to content; a campaign, random maps and user made content. I’m hoping the campaign gets a lot of love, those beautifully crafted missions with interesting designs (I’d dare compare it to the SC2 campaign, in which each mission feels unique and fresh) have always been my favorite.
Wishing you all the best with the game Virgil, I’m feeling the game is slowly but surely nearing completion (about 90% done if I had to guess, so there’s only about 90% left to do!). I’m looking forward to further news and will make sure to keep checking back more regularly, seeing how much progress has been made.
Feel free to surprise us with an announcement at any time 😀
Cheers
PS: Holy smokes almost 12k views on that editor video, you sure have made a name for yourself over the years. Well deserved, too!
