The Steam “Coming Soon” store page for Creeper World 4 is now live. You can view it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/848480/Creeper_World_4/
Head on over and click the “Wish List” button. Doing so, helps me track game interest over time. I still have a huge amount of work to finish the game…. like lots and lots. Custom units, scripting, campaign, music, art, online database, front end…. much to do.
But, getting the steam store page up way early will give folks another place to wishlist and track the game. And it gave me a chance to make another little trailer video. This is just for alpha, and it will be replaced with a final trailer when the game is done.
Its an old meme, but shut up and take my money.
I really want to play this game. Sure, there are still billions of unplayed levels in Creeper World 3, but i’m really looking forward into trying out the new mechanics.

are the unit models going to be changing between now and release? more specifically, are they going to stay so blocky, even if the details change (im fine if they do stay blocky, I just want to know)
If you look in the bottom right, it says “Alpha Footage: Units and Visuals Preliminary”.
Hes asking if the style is staying, not necessarily the current layout. and my guess is yes, they will stay blocky.
Wish list and follow. Really looking forward to it. Keep up the good work.
I like you release date on the game’s Steam page… “when done” lol.
Well, now that I have known for a few years that even a windows 10 desktop lags heavily on medium to big maps on all former games, I’ll be waiting for the day it blows up after I try this out. XD
Wishlisted! That being said, I’ve been trying to make enough money to be able to rebuy* the current bundle since before Particle Fleet came out, but bills and needing to eat keep taking all my money, so I almost certainly won’t be able to actually buy it at release.
*I bought CW1-3 back before I was an adult, but this was long before they were on steam, I’m bad at keeping track of codes, and the computers I had them on have since died. I don’t mind paying for them again though, since you’ve produced such truly amazing games, that are priced much lower than they’re worth. It’s just that ‘not minding buying them again’ and ‘being able to buy them again’ are two different things, sadly.
But yeah, CW4 looks like it’s gonna be great, no matter what you end up changing from now to release!!! (I do hope the vines make the cut though, the semi-random pathing sounds really cool!)
I saved all the old emails, back to 2011.
When I need a fresh key, I just email him the receipt and he sends me a new code almost instantly.
One major hope I have apart from yet another satisfactory and them some gameplay experience: I would like to see the loose ends from the past few entries being tied up.
Full origins of Platius, Abraxis, Imperator most specifically. How they all work.
perhaps also a timeline of when each entry takes place. I’m losing track owing to how tricky it is to reach certain plot elements anyway, re-winning levels and all.
I was so surprised when i saw “Creeper World 4” on Steam! 🙂
PS: The page mentions Windows and MacOS requirements but not Linux ones. Does this means CW4 won’t be on Linux?
No, it just means I’ve not fully tested the current build on Linux and I like to be conservative with what I say. I have tested some on linux, and it is working for the most part (in opengl3.3). I have not tested using Vulkan, etc. It’s my intention to release on Linux, I just can’t say with 99.9% certainty yet that I will, hence leaving it off the store page for the present.
Thanks for the reply! The fact you consider the option is very reassuring. If, at some point, you need Linux testers, i’ll be more than happy to help 😉
I support you supporting Linux 😀
Another vote for linux here 😛
I will switch my PC to Linux to test this for you.
Very exciting! Wish-listed and followed.. cant wait!
Played all these games like crazy…very much looking forward to the next 🙂
if this game were to be released on alpha or beta status, id buy it
very, Very, VERY excited
I cant wait for this to come out. The anticipation is real!
Wishlisted!
I followed to steam page and cold sweat ran through my forehead. Windows and MAC OS.
Please don’t tel me that there will be no Linux port, please….
Creeper world is my favorite game……
I like to be cautious…. I have CW4 working for the most part on native linux. But I have more testing to do (vulkan drivers will be a problem for my shaders, I anticipate, so I’ve only tested with opengl). So I have not closed the book on it, I just can’t say with certainty it will release alongside windows (there’s a lot more dev between now and then).
Just curious, now that we’ve all wishlisted, how is the count looking? And are you happy with the numbers?
Very much looking forward to this one indeed.
So i know you’re in the middle of developing CW 4, but are you considering making another particle fleet game after you finish work on CW 4?
Just wondering
