Well, that was certainly fun. Many of you might have noticed I disappeared from the blog for the last month. In just a few days Particle Fleet will be 1 month old! This last month has been a whirlwind…
There have been a few issues, and I got the most serious addressed in 1.0.1. Another batch I’ve just addressed in 1.0.2. But overall, the launch went very well and the game has been well received. Sure, there are a few bad reviews here and there. But there are many more positive reviews, and that works for me. So thank you to everyone who has played the game and provided positive feedback. It helps and encourages…
Oh, here’s the link for the 1.0.2 changes. If you are on steam, you will get the update soon automatically. http://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=22155.0
A few notes about things upcoming:
- A small DLC containing the Soundtrack, a 50+ page pdf book of my development diary, and a key for Corporation-in-the-Game, will be coming very soon. Like end of next week on steam. Maybe sooner than that for direct sale. It’s just a small thing and certainly not necessary to play and enjoy the full game. But for those looking for a little extra, or wanted to show even more support, it will be there soon. And a thank you in advance for anyone who does pick it up.
- Some feature additions to Particle Fleet. A ship preview, and an exchange for modules/ships. There are some technical details to work out, but work them out I will.
- Creeper World 1 and Creeper World 2 anniversary editions! Yes, they are coming to steam. Yes, you will no longer need AIR installed separately on your machine. Yes, each game will get some small attention. Nothing that will change gameplay, but just a little something extra for each game. The first Creeper World was released in 2009, but it is still a sweet little game and it deserves a little attention.
- And early next year, I will begin work anew. I have around 5 topics I want to explore in my next quest for that elusive ‘fun and unique gameplay’ prey.
Hey, love the game, already played the campaign 3 times. I was wondering if there were any plans on introducing something similar to Tormented Space later on for something less involved than the simulacrum?
Welp, looking forward to that! =D
But sadly it also means another long wait of development, as u know we need ur game desperately lol.
Please keep up the updates if u feel like it, i think alot of us will still follow this blog since ur game is not the only thing we are interested, we also enjoy the community and discussion here as we rarely see from other games and devs.
Good luck on ur next game! :3
Will, Creeper World I have some additions from CW3, say, like the ability to select many units at once and such additions?
Hey if i bought the original cw1 and cw2 can i request steam keys?
also would you mind if i used an old support e-mail so i don’t have to go through the conformation process again?
Wait why is my picture here?
If i have a forums account I’ve 100% forgotten the name of it.
Yes, there will be a page where you can enter your CW1/2 non steam key and retrieve a steam key.
so uh do you have an idea when then anniversary additions may come into existence?
yes no maybe?
And are those anniversary editions going to be available without steam as well?
Yep, there will be non steam versions as well.
