[Vertu's CW4 Particle Fleet] Energy Collector

The Energy Collector is built around an Energy Source (located in the center of the collector in the given image) by a Lathe Turret System which can be found on certain ships like the Lathe. It carries millions of nanites ranging from Energy Carriers to Construction nanites and can send these nanites to construct and or power nearby units and even buildings. The nanites are powered wirelessly using the energy range of the Energy Source it was created around, allowing the nanites to be perfectly efficient in their tasks. However, because of this they are completely limited to the wireless energy transmission technology used in the Energy Collector which is mundane at best. The nanites can not venture further than the energy range of the Energy Source or will be forced to withdraw to the Energy Collector. This is displayed when selecting the Energy Collector.

More information

Nanite groups sent out by the Energy Collector will collectively glow a shinning Green to inform you of their location on their trip to their destination. Of course, these are nanites, most are just as large as a single Cell on Earth if not smaller. They are impossible to see without this glow and when they abort, they stop glowing and release a signal in the form of a visible spark.

Ships charging at an Energy Collector should not leave the range of the Energy Source or the nanite groups will waste the energy they where going to provide to the ship.

The Energy Collector can both provide Energy and construct anything buildable using only energy. Even if it requires ARG, Anti-Creeper, or EVEN LIFTIC! However, Energy Sources tend to dissipate nearby matter after massive quantities of time due to the amount of energy constantly released so clumps of land are rarely nearby Energy Sources, making the Collector's ability to construct buildings using only energy not always useable. Also keep in mind it will be unable to provide units with anything but Energy for ammunition. The construction version of this is much easier.

The Energy Collector directly extracts energy from the Rift Lab when sending nanite groups. Luckily, the Energy Source it was constructed around is well, an Energy Source, so energy will be provided by the source for the Rift Lab to use at the very least.

-Self Sufficiant

The Energy Collector features 2 Lasers which can fend off occasional Particulate that venture towards the collector. They won't be able to fend off large hoards but it is a lot better than nothing and the Collector uses the energy from the Energy Source to power these lasers, not the Rift Lab, making it completely self sufficient.
