Good map-making is more about quality than quantity, but nevertheless here are some statistics about Creeper World's citizen map-makers.

As of this writing (July 26 2011), there have been 4371 custom maps submitted by 868 different users.

50% of users have submitted only 1 map.
15% of users have submitted exactly 2 maps.
10% of users have submitted 10 or more maps.
If you have submitted 17+ maps, then you are currently in the Top 50 Map-makers (by quantity).
If you have submitted 47+ maps, then you are currently in the Top 10 Map-makers (by quantity).

The largest number of maps have been submitted by SPIFFEN (433), followed by PHOENIX79 (108), CARBAR (94), and thepenguin (93).
