I really liked Arizona, but New Mexico has me stumped!   ???  I must not be making as good a choice as Snowmaker.

well, first I'd wait a few seconds to find out where you can go over the river of creeper to the blasters
then, get the blasters

for a while your only weapons are blasters. so you need to make sure they don't blow up

Some fancy flying of blasters is required to get the techs. Afterward it's simple. (Never built a weapon; just used the pre-built blasters.)
