1. Hero units would be units that

a. You could only make one of, although if they die you can resurrect them
b. Gain exp
c. Have unique skills
d. <Insert obvious stuff here>

2. Option to upgrade units means that you can use resources to upgrade specific units, athough their ammunition would cost more. You might also be able to upgrade structures.

3. Customizable length means you can change the length of the custom maps

So, what do you think?

No he means the length, but this was already proposed once and will never be implemented.
The same counts for his other ideas.

You can actually already do that, the needed resources are Technytes, so I don't see any reason for further weapon or structure upgrades.

Not gonna happen, the beauty of this game still (moreso in CW1) lies in its simplicity. Having too many possible units of which one is better than the other is just plain unnecessairy.
Btw: You can already limit the amount of units you can build of one kind to one. Combine this with a dark beam or Conversion Bomb and you've got yourself a powerful hero unit.

It sounds a little like Onslaught 2.

As soon as I found a chart of possible upgrade combos, it was cooler.

If you put 3 weapons close together, then they had a special firepower ability.

Hope this helps you visualize the idea.

In Onslaught 2 you have to fully upgrade the damage of all turrets. CW2 doesn't have that upgrades so you get them VERY fast. This will completely ruin older maps.

I don't think entirely new units (or upgrades, although I can think of some interesting ones) will be added to CW2.

But if they would, it wouldn't be that hard to make them available for new maps only.

In the experimental tab are 3 slots left for new weapons but I don't think V will add new weapons.

Not unless he adds a whole new game mode....

'Lemmings' mode already exists, if you're creative with fields... ;)

I know, but this takes more time and it isn't visible as 'goal'.
And also, there are no blocks that will only decay when touched by AC
