You've sacrificed two squares of perfectly good hull!

Really, Sorrontis, you of all people should know that "more lasers". ;)

(Also, this will rapidly become useless in combat if the shields go up, due to the immense power drain of an MK7.

I agree. Obviously, I'm going to have to redesign this little guy.

It certainly makes more sense of why custom ships are so often a pain to build. If this is the largest at your disposal, then it should take annoyingly long to build. So larger ships were balanced to be prohibitively expensive. And you can't change this key element of balance after launch.

And so now, when almost every custom ship is Varro-sized...

(Of course, PRPL can help, but it seems unpopular. :( )
