Greetings

I have just come across a strange bug, or it is a corrupted save file. Basically, I am not longer allowed to move on the different star maps. To explain, I have attached 3 screenshots:

Arc Eternal: http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/451796939881635798/6CDECFC343D0C4355DBD2964AC49D55ED21CF140/

Tormented Space: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/451796939881637064/78C41CF11EFC04AD8359FD66E175FC85C6CD37D4/

Prospector Zone: http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/451796939881638304/0FA387CA20563573A990CBEB97379F61A7C02397/

As you can see, my current position is not in the start position, and it shows how many planets I have cleared in each star system. However, I am not allowed to travel from the system I am in (red lines) and clicking on a neighbouring system does nothing. The star systems are coloured red again, indicating I have not beaten them (showing green or white).

Also, when I am in Tormented Space, it also shows "0 Inhibitors Destroyed" (http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/451796939881824804/20AE6DD7278E1B736B842EFFC71B24EAB95D2A89/) even though I have destroyed over 10 so far, indeed the one in th system the screenshot is from is destroyed...

I do think that the best course of action would be to delete my saves, but I am reluctant, as I have put a lot of time into this game. I wondered if there is something else that can be done.

I'm assuming you are playing the steam version?  If so, exit steam and the game completely, then start back up.  It is probably too late, but that might get the latest cloud save from steam.  It looks like something messed with one of your save files and wiped out most of your progress.  In all likelihood steam has now copied the reset/corrupt file into your cloud and you have lost your original copy.

The file that most likely got goofed is this one:
c:\Users\YOUR_USER\Documents\creeperworld3\data\missionstats.dat

If by some chance you have system protection turned on, or made a restore point, or do system backups or anything like that... that's the file you want to restore.

ah, crap... so it is a corrupted file save then.

No, I do not think I can revert to any older version. And I tried one of the planets I could play, to see if it helped to overwrite the save file..... it did not...

I guess I need to delete my save file and start from scratch.  Oh well, at least I get to play the Arc Eternal on a fresh go again :)

edit - an I can get the Steam achievements for those levels. When I got the steam version, I just used my old saves.

As an interesting side note:

I deleted the game and all the save files. It now works correctly again,  with all my data wiped off course. But when I got into Tormented Space it did not start from the centre, but from where I last left off.
