Heyo, So as a part of the lost at sea series of missions i've been making as of late i figured i might as well post the list of factions and ships i made for the story along with tidbits and the like, the posting will be updated as more ships are uploaded

Particle Drones
Most commonly just called drones these AI constructs are designed to fullfill the goal of particles, whatever that might be, they lack a leader outright and generally never contact humans and prefer to observe and record history, all of which is processed at different drone processing plants and sent to an unknown location, logging all data ever recorded by them, knowledge is power they say

All drone ships are classed as "Platforms" rather than as ships, its unknown why this is simply common
Drone Light Platforms

Lathe Platform

Not double lathed like the pirate or merc equals this platform can still effectively deal with most targets, however it has problems dealing with cannon fire from turrets due to its own lack of cannons, it however is well armored and cost effective with dual reactors
[close]

Combat Platform

A jack of all trades master of none platform, Speedy but is outsped by most two engine craft of the same size class, Can pack a punch but the Merc fighters beat it out in the cannon department, Costs more to maintain than the tapper does, But regardless sometimes the truth lies in the middle and in this case this platform is very very useful
[close]

Missile Platform

No one is quite sure why a missile based platform requires a robust amount of recording equipment and data storage, its usually all purged upon finding it as the constructs that operate these platforms prefer self destruction over their secrets being leaked and no one has yet discovered a way around their failsafes
[close]

Diving Platform

Commonly seen in groups this platform lacks most common forms of weapons and rather simply rams into platforms, their AI's are noted as being more aggressive than usual when extracted by Merc research teams
[close]

Supply Platform

An odd middleman to both the missile and combat platforms this platform is rather effective at suppling frontline troops while on the those front lines
[close]

Grabber Platform

Its unknown why the normally very logical constructs used three grabbers when everyone knows that one per platform is just as effective in nearly every case, But they saw fit to overequip this platform regardless

Drone Medium Platforms

Discharger Platform

Perhaps its a mistake that their platform for stunners is a medium class with a longer build time, However its so overequipped as a single stun means death for an AI Construct and all of the data it holds rarely survives a stun if it wasn't deleted in the last few seconds that AI Construct was 'alive'
[close]

H. Supply Platform

While obviously a medium class and not a heavy class this platform is more armored in exchange for losing firepower, it has many particle beams however making it a useful stunner or plasma cleanup platform, its recommended to shut them off when not needed as to not suffer supplyline issues
[close]

Destroyer Platform

A mix of missiles and cannons this platform is uniquely shielded compared to its two brothers making it more effective as a frontline combat unit, it also carries the heaviest beam lineup the drones can offer at 8 forward facing beams, it of course lack sidebeams
[close]

Cannoneer Platform

Armed with a deadly set of cannons this platform can pump out so much firepower that it can effectively block low amounts of MK7 shots at it, its great weakness however is that its fuel storage is on the front, not the back or sides
[close]

Heavy Missile Platform

Endless missiles is sometimes all you need along with effective beam and particle beam placement makes this platform very useful in nearly all settings, however it should be noted that a lack of cannons mean MK7's rip through this platform easily without support
[close]

MK7 Platform

Powerful compared to its pirate and galcorp equals due to having two MK7's, however its not energy effective in the slightest and lack larger storage, meaning it can easily depower itself, which must be a nightmare for the AI Construct which can survive a powerdown, its unknown if they're aware during these
[close]

Carrier Platform

Closer to a cargo platform than a weapon the smaller stealthed drones it carries are designed to store large amounts of data compared to their size, however for combat they are equipped with blasters that can be decharged with particle beams, Beyond that this platform has forward guns to keep the runway protected and keep those drones up longer
[close]
[close]

Drone Heavy Platforms

HQ Platform

Host to millions of living AI's this platform is the forward command of all drone fleets and thusly is what begins nearly all combat operations, its size can be troublesome but large energy storage and good array of weapons allow it to shine in enemy soaked environments
[close]

Control Note Platform

Usually running on its own AI away from the core set in the HQ Platform or other platforms of the fleet this one places itself ontop of energy mines, gaining their power and spreading it out safely and effectively, its unknown why but they tend to spin, making it harder to kill them from only one side due to the damaged segments generally repairing in time
[close]

H. MK7 Platform

Seeing one is a sign that the drones want something, either to defend their processing plants and factories or to claim something from you, armed with FOUR MK7 class cannons this platform is a force to be reckoned with, its back reactor setup while saving on energy costs does tend to make it more awkward in tight spaces
[close]

H. Carrier

Unlike the usual carrier this one was expressly made for combat, three runways located behind heavy armor allow this platform to strike down hellfire upon enemies, while with all runway platforms its recommened to avoid particle beams with this platform it usually deploys enough drones that its no issue
