Network connection speed

With CW3, a lot more network traffic goes on between your computer and the Knuckle Cracker server hosted in Dallas, TX. The server is accessed for score submission; uploading, downloading and reviewing of maps in both of the DMD and in Colonial Space.  Even getting the scores for an already-played map makes a call to the server.

I thought it would be instructive to build up a reference of how good connection speeds are between users and the host.

Here is a uniform method.

In your browser of choice, go to speedtest.net.

Use the scale bar at the right and drag the map of available sites until you can locate the sites in Dallas, Texas. (USA, obviously) :)
Now select a server from the list and run the test.
Once the test is complete, click "Share this result" and then select "Forum" and "Copy".
Paste the copied text in a reply to this thread. It should appear as any of the results below:

Update (02/25/2014):
Some very good network conenctivity diagnostics can be found at the following site. You will have to enable Java to run the tests.

Well I don't think my internet is as impressive, but it gets the job done.
My upload is actually pretty bad. But I'm not sure if that ever really matters.

Did you test to Edmonton or to Dallas?

I tested to Edmonton. I have a really slow upload because I have the cheapest broadband internet that they offer.

And I should pay more attention. Here is my connection to Dallas  :-[

Ha.
Though that is with 4 devices on the wifi. If that makes a difference. I'm not very knowledgeable about this.
And I'm 4650 miles away.

Although the nice thing about CW3 is that while it may take longer to download and upload maps, it doesn't make a difference to your place in the scores.

hmm. this is embarrasing.  I get better speed to france than I do servers in my own country.

here is mine, although it is from an old desktop with a minimal wi-fi adapter, quite a bit slower than normal.  I'll post from my newer machines sometime soon.

and here is my laptop:

Sorry for the late replies.

Control.

Compared to the Texas server.

MizInIA

not bad for a shared 5/1 connection.
