It is always great to see someone post their first map. Yours was very playable and don't worry about the "challenge" of it.

You can play around with the features in your next maps and just increase the complexity as you go along.

As long there is no creeper behind the nexus, you can easily destroy it with the dark beam.

If it is surrounded by creeper, you first have to deal with the creeper. You can use AC, and you can pass the beam around the nexus to isolate it.
