Title: Grammar Issues
Post by: Apocalypstic on November 16, 2009, 12:03:20 AM
On the planet Ix, I noticed a grammar mistake...when the OPS says: The Creeper has emitters in each crater and we are on the low land. Has should be have, and the isn't necessary. Hey, I know its a simple grammar issue, but you might as well fix it along with some other bugs in the next patch.

actually you're in the wrong on that 'the creeper' is singular, so it's has not have and the low land isnt wrong since it refers to the low land near the emitters not just some random low land

Are you sure about that? Because The Creeper sounds plural to me. At any rate, the player most likely knows that its referring to the low land nearby, not some random location miles away from it.

how does the creeper sound plural? it would be creepers lol
also if its a specific location (in this case it is) its the lowlands, if its lowlands in general then the 'the' isnt required

The Creeper definitely sounds singular, like a mass noun...

my thoughts exactly, it's like saying mankind, it encompasses all humans, you wouldnt refer to several people as mankinds
