Hey everyone,

This is my first threat in here so my name is Tim for those out there that don't know me.

Also for those out there that love details then the document below is something you will want to have.

3 months ago I finally got my hands on the second addition of Creeper World and I was totally blown away by how much more advanced the game had become. Virgil, the game's creator, really went all out on this game. During the month of November I started looking at creating my own maps. Looking at the CW 2 Editor I realized there was a ton more features. It was at that moment I realized I was going to need help on understanding many of the new features. Well, this time around Virgil didn't include any help file for the editor so I hit this forum and found a thread done by Ebon Heart called, "Making CW 2 Maps for Dummies". This is a very awesome thread that helps give a person a good look at many of the features found within the CW 2 Editor.

But I am someone that loves details. I am a person that will take something apart right down to the very last screw just to see how it works. So as I read Ebon's thread I noticed that some of the features of the editor were not covered. So I started doing up a manual for myself that would cover every single detail right down the those little features that some may not even think would be relevant. I did use inspiration from Ebon's thread to help get me started. Near the end of January I finally came close to finishing my personal manual. With everything that I covered I wanted to make sure that what I explained to myself was correct in what that feature actually did. So I got in contact with Virgil and asked if he would look over my work. Well, he said he would be honored. So I emailed a copy of my work to Virgil and after he looked it over he said he was actually very impressed by the detail of my work. Of course I did make a few mistakes on explaining some things. But with guidance from Virgil I made the changes needed to make my manual complete and correct.

I also asked Virgil what his thoughts would be about me sharing my manual with every other Creeper world fan out there. Believe it or not I never once had any intentions to ever share this manual with no one other then me. He felt I should indeed look at sharing my work with all the other fans. So before I share my work with the world I just would like to give some special thanks to Virgil, Ebon Heart, and J.

Ebon gave me something to start with while J, wrote an awesome thread called, "Advanced field/gravity guide". That thread helped explain how fields are created. I liked J's thread so much I included a link to the thread in my manual. It's well worth looking at.

So below is a zip file that contains a PDF file of the manual. I am supplying the manual this way so that fans don't have to be online in order to view this manual. So enjoy and lets all have fun creating awesome maps that we all can play for years to come. Thanks everyone and God bless. :)

PS: feel free to leave any comments and or suggestions. Both good and bad are welcome. I am prepared for the worst but hoping for the best. ;D Haha!

Does a mod want to sticky this? I think this could be very helpful... but it's going to die here soon, and be of no use to anyone.

I agree, this has definitely helped me, and will help many people.

you do say that the gateways can destroy solid terrain but you don't describe how to do that, at least with my short lookover. Just saying

Your right. I did miss that. Sorry!

To do it here is what you do.

Step 1: place a "Enemy Dig Site" over "Normal Terrain" or "Decayable Terrain".

Step 2: Place solid terrain over the "Enemy Dig Site".

Your Solid Terrain will now have a blue X in it and now can be destroyed by a Gateway.

Hope that helps. :)

Oh and sorry it took me so long to reply. I was really badly sick and laid up in the hospital for over a month. I just started getting better and got back home just last week.

I hope your okay now!

By the way, Lich knows how to do that. I think he was pointing it out for you to put the guide. :)

I am better now then how I was just two weeks ago. I got a really bad infection that just about killed me. I was really sick. I was on heavy anti-biotic for a good two weeks and then my body had to do the rest for the next two weeks. In total I was in the hospital for just about 4 weeks. Thanks to God above I pulled through. If I hadn't I wouldn't be typing this. Haha!

Sadly I wasn't the only person that got this bad infection. There were quite a few people in the hospital that had the same symptoms as me. I know there were some seniors that caught the infection and from what I have been told one person may have passed away from this. Anyways, I am just blessed to still be alive. :)

I'm glad your here. Was it a staph infection? (The only reason I ask I'd I'm doing a Sceince project on a super staph bug)

To keep on topic: I haven't said it, but this is an amazing guide. No offense to Ebon.

I really wouldn't have even seen that as a possible offense to me if you hadn't said, "no offense to Ebon."

I am not sure what hit this area. It started out like a simple sinus cold but it got worse to where I was blowing out pure yellow stuff and then the darn thing went to my lungs. On top of that I felt like I had been hit by a truck. I ached everywhere. I am just glad I got better.
