I apologize I misplaced my post it is in the middle of the quote.

up letter street  Complex / Any size

There isn't much diggable terrain, there are high-intensity emitters at the start (slight delay with destructable terrain), 1-2 drone nests at start, phantoms, and to top it all off it's zero g.

I have tried all permutations that I know of, and cannot beat this combo.

Oh, and large has a 477.6 million intensity creeper emitter.

Not much space no, but enough:

Beat me to it! 8)

Did you build that dark beam before the decayable terrain with the drones got out or did you use conversion bombs first to hold your spot?

I had the dark beam built in time - though if the other sizes had worse gem positions I might have needed to use conversion bombs + shield replacements to buy more time  (I played on large/high)

I almost think it is possible. I've almost got to the surviving part. But I have only almost made it... ;) And you don't know what I had to go through to get that first red crystal. :o

Almost all the map is empty space. Even with full upgrades to beacon range, you cannot get a nullifier to take out the bottom left emitter due to not being able to get close enough since you cannot "see" that far into the map.

Play the map and you will see what I mean.

wow.. That was a special layout, never seen anything like that! Post it in the special code map thread instead because it is a easy map.

PS: dig through the terrain and use the LS to plant a nullifier :)  (see pic 2)

PSS: You might be able to place the nullifier if you upgrade the beacon to max.

That one already is in the special map topic...

I had fun, I used a wall of launchers with a few blasters.
I'll mostly be lurking as a guest, not much into posting anymore. :P

TonyP2000

I got this map from the special maps page.

I forgot that you can move the liberation ship...

popcorn seems to be impossible on large/high. Constant stream of drones and an emitter on the surface; and 10 phantoms. No accessible gems.

It is not quite impossible!  :D That map was extremely hard though. (See spoiler for how I did it)

Spoiler

1. I had to fly the LS all the way to the right of the map first, while building reactors as quickly as I could without falling into a deficit.

2. Next, I used shields to hold off the drones by keeping everything I built very close to the surface.

3. I constructed three phantom coils just before the phantoms hit, and at a similar time I managed to get a blaster online to take out the drones just as my last shield fell (I used a phantom coil as a shield!).

4. After digging for some space for more reactors, I had to put up a repulsor to keep the creeper from spilling onto the land. The blaster was set to only target drones.

5. Slowly but surely, building another repulsor every now and then, I pushed the creeper back with the help of a mortar. My energy supply became really stretched so it took ages to make progress.

Here is the point at which victory became pretty certain:

Thanks for the intense map! :)

456879872313201245879321031879854106 small/high is not unbeatable.  8)
Again, I think I did this in the slowest way possible...
