Yikes!
I got my butt handed to me for about ten minutes then really got clobbered.
Back later for another try.

Nice map, was pretty interesting to speedrun

Starting in the middle is definitely the best spot, even though there is a lot of creep all around so you can't get that many reactors, early powerzones are pretty useful as well.
A mortar in the top-right pops the runners for easy anticreep, to be brought back with a PZ relay
Aether packs is <3

The artifacts are of course also very useful, spent quite some time trying to make the most of them.
Also seems like the freeze artifact range is 1 tile less than the convert which is odd.

Edit; dang, played this map again with minimal pause, those runners will absolutely murder you if you let them run around too long
Also the game is like, alright, i counted to 10 (minutes), now you die.

I'd love to see a screen grab of your first game after a few minutes. I was holding my own until the 'shock and awe' at about ten minutes.
Thanks,

Here's some screens at start, 3:50 and 5:10 https://imgur.com/a/e2ZEMZ2

Priority list was something like;
- free nullify grabs
- anti-air zone on the right for another large aether pack
- don't let any runners spawn
- top-middle to kill 2 large emitters and gain some land
- bottom right for a 3rd large aether pack and a bunch of PZ's

used artifacts to help with all the large emitters

Big thanks!
After I have a big bowl of Wheaties in the morning, I'll give it a try.

For those who don't like to pause and/or prefer turtling, I suggest starting in the lower-right. You have two PZ's quickly accessible and 5 more within easy reach long before 10 minutes. You'll have enough space for some good reactors and lotsa beams to deal with the waves of spores.

For those who might be new at this and unsure how to easily take out those 4 PZ's to your left...
Spoiler
Use a freeze + convert. If you want a little extra AC, make a singularity with the forge using minimal power and then freeze then convert. Drop a guppy in the middle and nullify all 4 at once.

Also, you won't encounter any of the runners at all until you want to

(the ones in the upper-right are friendly btw)

Cool map, especially for vanilla! Not surprising, considering the author  ;)

Thanks for yet another fun map, Yum!  ;D ;D

You disagree with this sentence, don't you?

Very glad to get such comment from You!  :D

P.S. I also prefer to start from right/down part of map.
