Title: User Space: Creeper Hollow message?
Post by: 4xC on September 25, 2014, 10:01:16 AM
I have seen the message, I know what it says, I know plenty of veterans do too, and I know how to beat this map,

but I seriously need some help understanding the point of the coded message.

Was it just a gimmick, or was it a hint for a special code not found in other maps? Did it have any actual meaning other than the pure fun of solving another mystery?

Are you asking about MadMag's map here on Knucklecracker.com or  the map on the Kongregate flash game?

My guess is that the
Spoiler
"pop rock"

is a prophetic foretelling of the nullifiers in CW2 and CW3...

(Though I still believe the nullifier breaks the game. One of the things that sets CW1 apart from its younger brothers is the genius move that The Creeper cannot be destroyed, only controlled - temporarily.... This means you can never lower your guard and makes for the most fantastic "snakes and ladders" scenarios, as wonderfully exploited by many of the better mapmakers...)

But why
Spoiler
"pop rock"

?

I forgot all about that. I do remember there was an explanation for it. But it's lost in the mist of time.

Are you saying that the same map has different messages?
