| Creeper World FAQ |
What do I get when I buy the game? You will receive a download link and a key at the end of the purchase process. You will also be emailed this same information. You will be given both the Windows and Mac versions of the game. All you have to do is download, install, and then surrender the next week of time to defeating the Creeper! |
What is Creeper World? You ever play a game and then years later you talk about that game and how cool it was? It was something you had never seen before and left a permanent mark on your brain? Well that's Creeper World. There are Tower Defense games, RTS games, and the sort.... and there are many great versions of these types of games. But they have all missed something... a new kind of enemy that Creeper World is based on and that will seem so obvious once you see it. Creeper World is a unique and fresh look at Defense, RTS, and Management based games. And with a new enemy, nothing will ever be the same again. |
Is there a story in Creeper World? Story modes in games take oh so much effort. They require scripting, plot lines, dialog, and all sorts of really time consuming things. So OF COURSE Creeper World has a story. On 20 missions you will lead Odin City and the last remnants of humanity on their final journey to escape the Creeper. You'll discover new weapons, ancient artifacts, system upgrades, and perhaps, just perhaps you'll learn something about the insidious Creeper and its origins. |
What are the different game modes? Besides 20 story missions, there are 25 conquest missions and 10 special ops missions. When you finish the story mode, the game has only just begun. There are also millions of chronom missions and thousands and awesome custom maps created by players just like you. |
How long does it take to play Creeper World? Any single mission can last from 5 to 30 minutes typically. Creeper World is designed to be played casually and to not take all day for single mission. But there are tons of missions and many of them are highly replayable. Incredibly addictive... be warned. |
Can Creeper World play in a window or full screen? Yes and yes. Creeper world is designed to be desktop friendly. You don't have to totally stop everything else in your computer life to play Creeper World. Keep it in a window while you do all those other important things. |
How did you come up with this idea? One night I spilled grape soda all over the table.... well not really. Actually I was working on a completely different and independently awesome game. In the middle of that game I experimented with a unique type of "fog of war". I spent the next day playing with the FOW and that's when it all clicked. One part serendipity, one part thermodynamics, one part travelling salesman, and 997 parts hard labor == Creeper World. |
Why is the Creeper blue? I tried them all. Blue won. Besides, it contrasts better with the desolate terrain of barren worlds. |
Do I have to be online to play Creeper World? Nope, you don't. Now I'm sure you will be online so the question is fairly academic. Well wait, sometimes you are on a plane or your cable modem is all blinky blinky... Not to worry, Creeper World works just fine when you are adrift in isolation. |
Is there multi-player? No, there is no direct head to head play... But, fear not... Play well and post your scores online. Your friends can do the same. All of you can make up a secret group name that you share only with each other. Then you can compare scores on all of the maps just amongst your group. So you can still best your buddies and maintain bragging rights over them. |
How long did it take to develop Creeper World? Lets see... I started.... when was the Peloponnesian War anyway? It's actually difficult to measure the total time, since at least a month was spent on prototyping the concept... before any actual game development began. But all together around a year is a nice round number. If you want to see some of the screenshots from the prototype, check out the demo (or buy the game!) and click on the Credits button. |
When I buy the game can I pick up where the demo left off? Yes, your progress is saved and you can move on to the next mission in the full version of the game. In the demo you can play the first five story missions, but only post scores on the first four. When you get the whole game and play your next mission all of your scores will be posted for all of the missions you have played. |
How do I uninstall the demo? On Windows: 1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel. 2. Open the Add or Remove Programs panel. 3. Select Creeper World. 4. Click the Change/Remove button. On Mac OS: Drag the Creeper World application to the Trash. |
