Love the automatic gif creation, will probably use it for every single map I’ll make (if (m)any =P).

Ingame replays?! Looks like you’re going full Starcraft here.

The recorder feature looks pretty cool, And the GIF feature looks like it could be useful on the forums for people who get high scores on maps to show how they did it, or just show off in general.
Great work as always Virgil 🙂

Now that you wrote it, I’m thinking – if replay doesn’t take too much space, it could be required to submit high scores – perfect anti-cheat system.

If the recorder could interpolate the data and make slow speed look smoother, that would be really good.

This is great as always, nice music. Take all the time that you need, I’d rather get something absolutely amazing in more than a year than something merely excellent in less time. Is it the plan to have all missions centered around totems? It’s an interesting choice, and I’m not as against it as I used to be. The only real potential problem is people overusing the double orbital tactic you used at the end to secure the last totem since there doesn’t currently seem to be anything stopping players from turtling while building up orbitals then using that on all the totems at roughly the same time. I think that the best way to make this tactic more difficult would be to make the minimum time between orbital send-downs larger and have the duration of the singularity or other sustained orbital effects be shorter than that recharge time. This would encourage players to use orbitals in combination with units instead of always using them in the same combo. Even if the combo is great visually, it always offers players an easier way out strategically.

So will we be able to write to the GDR with the scripting system?

Speaking of the scripting system… for CW4 can we have the option to use something a little more powerful? The stack-based stuff is decent, but as a veteran programmer I think that an object-oriented language would be much easier to use.

Please, PLEASE, PLEEEEAAAASE WITH SUGAR AND A CHERRY ON TOP!!!! Please make the highscore system based on the replay so that everyone MUST prove how they finished a level ‘within 6 seconds’. I’m really sick and tired of the fake times in the highscores!!!

This is such a big anger issue of mine, I stopped playing CW3 because of it.
