Looks like a nice blend between CW2 and CW3.
I like the little modules. Did you need to make engine changes to compensate for all the little particle tracking?

The only thing you’ve done that I wasn’t a major fan of was Creeper World 2, and my complaints on that were minor so I’m definitely looking forward to this!

This is looking quite awesome, I especially like how it seems that the enemy has a bit of order to it, and is not simply following the laws of physics, but binding together in interesting ways. I can’t wait to play this!

My lord, it looks great! if we get to design our own ships, this will likely be the space ship game of my dreams. thank you!
p.s. can we earn or buy early access? I’d love to help out!

Yep, this looks like it will be a definite purchase for me. If there is any way to get in on early access and help test/develop the game let me know!

    Great work.

I am definately looking forward to this game. Virgil never disappoints and he is very good at being his own one man army. If you need alpha/beta testers let me know!

Oh hey! A new Knuckle Cracker game! Best piece of news all day. 🙂

I’m looking forward to seeing how this develops, and for the moment I’m mostly going to wait to see how things go. But the way you can upgrade and develop your bases makes me wonder if the enemy can grow and develop over the course of a mission as well…

This is great news, I continue to play CW 1,2&3 daily and was recently pondering what would be next from Virgil and Knucklecracker.
Very impressed with what has been shown so far, Excited to see how this progresses. but not looking forward to the long agonizing wait till we can play it 🙂

Hmm, this can maybe end up better than Creeper World 3. But the particles, can they line up and transform into for example those worms we saw, or does the worms spawn as they are?

sweet, I was just getting bored when I found this!

im wondering how that plasma stuff works, does it block the particles but they can slowly push through it?

I also want to know what the story here is going to be, will it be a normal sized story like the CW series, or a small one because its based more on game play then anything else

I wonder what the colored plasma has to do with the game. It doesn’t seem to occupy a large quarter of the map, and it doesn’t seem to harm you while simultaneously moving forward. Interesting.

Also, I can’t wait for the those little Byts to be more intelligent, hopefully able to join together of their own volition, while maybe conducting more intelligent attacks. I love Creeper World for it’s mindless, fun, overwhelming enemy, but it was never very intelligent.

I know that it’s smart for you to record after the videos so that way you can actually say the information that you want to, but it seems less natural, like you’re reading a script. I know that’s probably rude to suggest something you may have thought of or tried before. But have you tried writing the information down and then saying it, or describe things like you have down now but in the game? I know it’s hard, I’ve tried to do it, but they’ve sorta kinda worked for me.

Good Luck, Have Fun. Don’t let your little Byts get the best of you!

    1. Omegatron
      Omegatron January 24, 2015 at 4:55 pm |

It looks like the blue plasma slows down the particles but they can slowly corrupt it into red plasma that they can travel through freely.

This looks SO GOOD. I am so happy I randomly thought “I haven’t checked Knuckle Cracker” in a while just a bit after you’ve shown this. All of the new mechanics look like they’ll be awesome. Can’t wait to hear more!

  32. Kharnellius
    Kharnellius January 27, 2015 at 11:38 am |

Sweet! This looks great! I know it is alpha, but I hope you add some damage modelling on the ships so you can tell your ships are close to death. While watching the video, their destruction was normally surprising.

    1. Kharnellius
      Kharnellius January 27, 2015 at 11:49 am |

Ok, nevermind, I think I understand now, the actual parts of the ship slowly get destroyed until the center “core” is hit.

About the ChopRaider thing, what a coincidence. I was just at whiteboardwar.com, to see if by any means a new game was released(hopes never die), and then i thought i’d look at the blog, and you said that xD. By the way, is there any way a sequel or something like that game comes out, i love it, it’s so simple yet so addicting.

Looks simply amazing. Can’t wait to see its development. Right now it reminds me of the CW saga. I am curious though, how innovative will this game turn out to be..? Hmmmmm…..

Can’t wait to buy this game :).

Always the innovator, aren’t you, Virgil?

As if it wasn’t enough that the enemy had to flow across the whole terrain like a liquid flood, now the “swarm” ideaology has skyrocketed. I have seen and played many games with swarms, but I have never seen a swarm move so meticulously for so long and so efficiently through a discriminatory space cloud.

I definitely praise the idea and the way players are in control of the game. I suddenly miss the CW2 “Phantom Energy Fields” emitted by either beacons or the ambience because of this clip.

I only think that, unless one of your current units does so already, there should be something to tank those enemy missiles from the stations.

    Very interesting,

It looks somewhat like CW so I guess I’ll buy it without second thoughts.

    Rer24 February 15, 2015 at 9:18 am |

This does look extremely like CW, so I’m definitely getting it! Just an interesting idea while it is in alpha: have you thought of a long, armored ship with little/no firepower to protect other ships at close range?

  44. Bom Bot
    Bom Bot February 19, 2015 at 3:45 pm |

So is this a sequel to CW3? Can you explain me the core game, because so far it looks like a bunch of dots forming worms and stuff.

    Oh, yes!

Virgil, you have an option here. Continue the Creeper World line, or start with something completely new.

And a suggestion: You need more dangerous things. Mines, asteroid fields, etc, that give buffs or debuffs to ships and particles. And shield ships, and (Goes on rant describing in detail all of the possible ways this game could become awesome).

You may as well take my money now. I will be getting this game.
